How to make curved text
- Type your text in the box. Short phrases of up to about 20 characters curve best.
- Set the radius. A smaller radius gives a tighter arc; a larger radius gives a gentle curve.
- Adjust the font size so the letters fill the arc without crowding.
- Change the start angle to move the text around the circle. −90° centers it at the top for a classic arch.
- Click Download PNG and place the file into your design, mockup or gang sheet.
Where print shops use curved text
- Circular logos and badges: team names over a crest, "EST. 2024" under an emblem.
- Hat fronts and bills, where text follows the shape of the panel.
- Round stickers, labels and seals.
- Collar and neck prints, and arched varsity-style lettering on jerseys.
Getting a clean print from curved text
The PNG is a raster image, so export it at the size you plan to print, or larger. For screen printing or vinyl cutting, trace it to vector with a vectorizer or rebuild it in your design software with text-on-a-path so edges stay sharp at any size.
Bold, simple fonts survive curving much better than thin scripts. Leave a little letter spacing in tight arcs so characters don't collide on the inside of the curve.
